DAVID IAIN BROWN

Emerging artist David Iain Brown, lives and works in Glasgow. Since completing his Master’s Degree in Fine Art at Grays School of Art in 2018, Brown has exhibited widely.

His most recent show was his first solo exhibition at Ninasagt Gallery in Dusseldorf.

Brown's work focuses on the space between abstraction and reality. Taking inspiration from mundane objects, artefact, experiences and memories cultivated from the monotony of daily life - his work tells a story, built upon the history of its layers - with the concept of time passing as a prominent theme within the work. The work holds tensions between the additive and subtractive process, the making and unmaking of an image.
